After working for over 14 years at a large Canadian bank, I knew I wanted to start my own business. I enjoyed financial planning conversations, deep discussions with business owners and wanted a way to maintain those relationships regardless of where I lived. I was able to merge all that with my love for the Bank and build my own brokerage at the same bank.
In my second year, I decided to leave the business. The time to start it wasn’t right. My kids were now ages 5 to 15 and they wanted to travel the world, learn more about Zimbabwe, the language and the culture, but most of all, they wanted more of me. I realized if I kept going, there was never going to be a good time to stop and the only thing for certain was they would get older.
You Deserve Grace, was born from the need to accept that this decision was not letting anyone down, but rather a fresh start. It struck me, that we all wake up every morning with the opportunity for a fresh start every day. Most of us don’t take the fresh start. We continually battle the person or situation we are currently in and rarely do we give ourselves or each other Grace.
This website/blog is an opportunity for me to share my thoughts, ideas and maybe products that can help you extend that same Grace to yourself and others around you everyday. With over 16 years of experience and an MBA in Financial Services, I hope whatever comes from these pages will enrich your life and that of those around you.
I don’t know where the next chapter of my life will lead, but I’m fortunate enough to be surrounded by family that are giving me that space to walk in Grace and explore the world with me.
