Curating unique to you, not me experiences

In everything in life there is a bias that comes from the informer. Our life experiences color how we speak, and think about things. After 17 years in financial services and travelling as an adult with kids, anything you ask me will have a bias. The only thing I can do, is to be aware of my unconscious bias towards your questions.

Judging the decisions others make is another bias of the informer and really stops them from hearing the concerns or priorities of the speaker. Think of Dave Ramsey followers meet Robert Kiyosaki admirers or in travel, when Hilton Honors members run into couch surfers at the airport. Trying to understand the background of the speaker and how the question arose is valuable in overcoming my own judgements.

That’s why coaches aren’t replicable, no two are the same. Not everyone is aware of their shortcomings and or overcompensates too much because of their feelings of inadequacy. They may teach the same principles but their life experiences can color how they deliver the message.

I loved all my economics professors because I think they were more excited about the math and psychology behind the reasons people make decisions, than they were about teaching which economic model was better. The stereotype is that economists are out of touch with reality and I think that’s a good thing. They can’t get caught up in the moment and must direct policy from a long-term point of view.

I say this to say that, we at You Deserve Grace, will always seek to curate an experience for you that is both personal and unique to you. Whether it’s travel or financial, we may ask lots of questions and require you to work with other professionals, all so that we can both take a 360 degree view into what you’re looking to get answered.

At the end of the day, its your life and not mine, but your finances and travel experiences all deserve, just a little bit of Grace to take them to the next level.
