From birth we are born into a cascade of life and over the years separate ourselves. I love water and sitting still close to a body of water for reflections. The circle of life that it takes to create a lake, river or creek is already amazing, let alone a waterfall. Generally they are created by a series of obstacles, that the water insistently continues to travel through.
Man made fountains also have the same sense of awe. They are created by a series of well timed physics equations to create a continuous flow of water that defies gravity. The difference is the same. They all consist of individual drops of water, contributing to the collective.
Going with the flow, is the phrase we use to describe our individual decision not to interrupt the collective that we are a part of. We are aware of the importance of our individual role and the impact it can have on the whole, if we choose to stop, switch direction or change pace.
It’s important however, to take the time every once in a while to reflect on what you want and how the current natural flow of life is lining up with your goals. Just like rivers and creeks slowly change course overtime, so do we.
