Create a budget

This first workshop will walk you through how to create a budget. It will recommend tools that fit every personality, from online based tools to paper based strategies.

We believe, what’s good for the goose, is good for the gander. So if you’re married and your spouse isn’t interested, you can still make a difference to your family by going through the budget process on your own.

Why

Financial planning is about understanding your why. The reasons we make a lot of financial decisions may not be related to our current position with money, but rather the emotional behaviors associated with money.

This second workshop is about understanding the different why’s people may have, and their importance in your day to day planning. For people who are married, this will include some exercises for individuals, which you can share with your spouse.

Savings Strategies

In this third workshop we will go over savings strategies that are specific to the Canadian economy. We will discuss the different tax efficient vehicles, how they impact you today and in the future.

Not everyone’s savings goals are the same, and care is made to highlight when certain strategies may work for some and not for others. As long as the goal is to create long term savings, there is a strategy that will work.

Debt

Living with debt can make you feel like a failure. We believe not focusing your financial planning on the negative will empower you to approach every day will a new lease on life. This fresh energy is what will help you overcome any obstacles you may have had in managing your debt.

The end goal may be debt elimination, but this final workshop is focused on helping you understand the different ways to tackled debt and the feelings you may associate with it.
